![]() ![]() ![]() Immortal will be an after thought this year. Then call it a lesson learned and tell the players we will give you more news about it later on. Where they say that it was wrong for them to announce it like they did. The only way they would say anything before D3 and D4 news is if they wanted to have a Mea Culpa moment concerning Immortal. Then they will give us news about Immortal. Then they will tell us about D4 by playing an opening cinematic much like how D3 was announced. Or maybe Blizzard will get their act together and have something to show us to compensate for the mess they left last year.Īgain I say that after they fill us in on more of the details of that ongoing support blog for this game. We’ll just have to wait and see how disappointing Blizzcon will be for Diablo fans. Unfortunately, none of that happened: Diablo: Immortals was announced as a cheap knock off, the people at Blizzcon did not know how to react to the negativity, and there is nothing in sight concerning a sequel to Diablo 4. As they had announced Diablo 4 is in the works rather than leaving us all in the dark over the future of the franchise.Īgain, having the mobile made in house, or at the least closely monitored while being built from the ground up, would have done Blizzard a world of good. Two, depending on how far along Immortals had been worked on, they could have released the mobile game ahead of console to “hold over” players until Diablo 4 is released. For one, it would have shown that Blizzard is not tunneling their resources directly towards mobile and leaving PC as well as console gamers high and dry. Having Diablo: Immortals announced alongside Diablo 4 would have greatly diminished the amount of dislike generated. Mobile games do not have a good reputation so the game would receive flak regardless, which would also have been significantly less if it was developed in house from the ground up rather than being shipped out.
